For 1/2 pound pasta
1 pound ground beef
1/2 C chopped onion
1/2 C chopped green pepper (optional)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 6 oz can tomato paste
1 t sugar
1 t oregano
1 t basil
1/2 t thyme
1 bay leaf
1/2 t salt
1/4 t pepper
1/2 lb pasta cooked
brown meat, onion, pepper, garlic
add rest of ingredients, simmer, covered 30 minutes
uncover, simmet 15 minutes or until desired consistency
serve with pasta
